Some familiar faces are showing up in police investigations into Calgary’s brewing turf war over drugs and guns.
Many of the players, however, are people Calgary police have never encountered before.
Some don’t even have criminal records yet, Staff Sgt. Quinn Jacques of the guns and gangs unit said Friday, after police acknowledged organized crime is alive and well in the city.
“Just when I think we have a pretty good grasp on things there’s some kind of game-changer that we have to adapt to,” Jacques said.
