Default Amazing Race Canada 3

Perhaps I am the only one watching this?
I am thoroughly enjoying this season, again.
Down to 5 teams now.
Have to think the Italian brothers and the wrestlers are the favourites.
The gay brothers kill me - they are so gay and so funny. Was glad to see them saved from elimination yesterday.
I really love our made in Canada edition of this race.

No, you're not the only one watching. I was away for the first few episodes so I didn't start a thread this season. It's been a good one. Agreed that the Italian guys and wrestlers are by far the strongest teams. The gay brothers are hilarious, glad they got saved by the non-elimination. The Canadian version I find there are less teams that I just hate and want gone. Maybe we're all too nice - or the people doing the casting don't go looking for "villains".

I'm really liking the show and the teams. The only issue I have with this show is that if a team wins a leg of the race, they get a head start on the other teams. So the team in the lead gets to go to the airport a couple hours before all the other teams and then they get on the same flight. It's funny to see a team win a leg then the next show they start at 4:30am then the last team starts at 9:00am and they all get on the same plane at noon or something. The time lead they give is useless because they all travel together.

Yeah. There has been little, if any, time advantage gained by winning a leg.
I expect that is by design - starting the teams even each day - and I don't really have a problem with it.

I see why they do that because if there is a really strong team, they'll jump out to a huge lead and never really look back. This way it seems like any team can win a leg on any given day.

In the first couple of Races (of the American version), they didn't do anything to bunch up the teams, and it became a production nightmare. It also removed any suspense from the race.

In the first race, the first two teams were on the mat in NYC when the third place team was still in Alaska, a full leg behind.

You basically have to look at it as 12 separate races, where the winner gets a prize and the last team gets eliminated (usually).

While I loved watching Nat & Meg dominate last season, its good to see almost every team win a leg. I think the only team that hasn't is Simi & Ope.

I love how the gay brothers always end up throwing up some how.

It is a lot better when any team can win it I guess. The teams remaining are all pretty good and relatable, it's hard not to cheer for any of them. The gay brothers are the comedy relief though, they make the show a lot less edgy.

The wrestlers are so darn likeable. I'm ok with any of the teams left winning. I was an Eskies fan a million years ago so I liked Lumsden a lot (his daughter was beyond annoying).

I can't imagine being in India, I might have ended up like the cops from Winnipeg, just overwhelmed by the massive swarm of humanity there.

The brother who keeps throwing up should really see a doctor about that. That can't be healthy.

Prior to the season, one of the previews I read said that the teams will be recreating Jon's infamous beer walk through the streets of Whistler. That should be funny.

They seam to have eased up on the challenges a little this year to be more in line with the American one. The first 2 seasons I couldn't believe how brutal some of them were, and they seamed to have more challenges per leg.

Holy crap those two are something else. At the start I thought they would be way to annoying and over the top and would be done within a couple of episodes. Now they are my favourite team. The fish last night, lol, wow...

The constant barfing reduces me to tears, oh my God that's funny. First leg they win buddy has to run off to the side and honk all over the place.

Then the tuktuk ride last night *baaarf* "no no, it's ok, keep going" baaarf** no no were good!

Oh man....then buddy has to pull over to hose down his tuktuk......

I'm in tears now typing this.....

I find it interesting that 'brain' will almost always be quicker/easier than 'brawn' in every challenge, yet most teams will always choose brawn.
Not generally choosing brawn has served Brent and Sean very well.

Hahaha exactly. When they were uncontrollably racked by full body sobbing when they weren't eliminated last night was so awesome.
I really hope they make it through to the end. In their own way, they are as tough competitors as I have ever seen in one of these things.

ahahah, omg, it's even better the 2nd time through! I forgot about the wipeout before the mat.

That has to be, easily, the most legendary 1st place finish ever.

I love John's reaction, and the Native guy is thinking, is this gonna happen every time a team finishes? because if so, I'm out.

I'm rooting for the wrestlers or Simi & Opi.

If the twin brothers ever figured out their transportation issues they would be as or more dominant than Natalie and Megan were last year.

I think the producers are buying off the taxi companies and not letting them help out the brothers. They can't actually have that poor luck across 3 different continents, can they?

I hope Simi and Opi somehow pull out a miracle and win

Pretty decisive win for Gino and Jesse last night. Just as decisive a loss and elimination for Dujean and Leilani. Was a bit surprised Nick and Matt U-turned them, at first, but upon reflection I expect the wrestlers are comfortable competing with anyone left in any challenge, but would have been at a distinct disadvantage to the ex's in an 'artistic' challenge.
Would love to see an extended version final 4 instead of 3 teams, simply because everyone left brings something unique, interesting and entertaining to the show. I guess if I were to choose, I would rather Simi and Ope were eliminated before the finale (which doesn't seem to be a popular opinion here).
My condolences to the teams, who must now travel to Edmonton.
