Pesticide-resistant pests. It's only inevitable.

It says the affected area is only 800 hectares. That's pretty small. Makes for good tv though.

If they never invaded Ukraine this may not even be an issue for them. There is going to be a lot of hurt in Russia real soon. 90s here we come.

A moving swarm of locusts that is 800 hectares will mess up a lot of crops in a hurry.

"In Kalmikya, Astrakhan, Volgagrad, and Dagestan, there is already no food left for the locusts, so they have moved on to other sources of food," says Tatiana Drishcheva of the Russia Argricultural Center, a government organization.

First two cities are over 200km apart, cant be bothered to check the rest. Pretty large area affected.

RT will soon be breaking that these are Israeli genetically modified locusts.

Is it a moving swarm at 800 hectares large or just that 800 hectares of land have been affected by this one swarm?

The quote I posted would make no sense if only 800 hectare have been affected. I read it as a 800 hectare moving swarm.

I would hope, that wishing harm against the Russian populous, isn't a common hope.

I hope these farmers receive the help they deserve.
