Philae will land on the comet at just after 9 AM mountain time.

Until we find out that landing on the comet nudged it enough to collide with earth in 50 years.

Philae detached with no issues, getting very close to the surface now.
Touchdown confirmation not expected until at least 1702 CET.

Should be landing in the next 8 minutes or so, we won't find out for almost half an hour.

Yup, now we wait for the signal to travel to Earth, which takes ~35 minutes.

Too bad the livestream is just overview of people with no narration. No idea what triggered the celebrations. Was it deployment of thruster, harpoons, ice screws?

Another great leap forward for humanity. I can't believe this story isn't getting more buzz around the world. Humans landed a man-made object on a moving comet millions of kilometres away from us. This is some movie-like ####.

I would imagine it gets more buzz here in Europe. Especially since it's happening at a much more convenient hour.
