Amazing career considering what he went through as a young man. I hope to see him get honoured by the "Hey you're neat but we aren't going to retire your number" thingy by the Flames.

It feels about right timing wise... still sad to even think about.

Reggie the Wrister will always be one of my favourite all-time Flames.

The fact that this photo exists makes me very happy:

I remember the off-season after we traded Fleury, my family was in Nova Scotia and my Dad came up to us with a newspaper in hand saying in a very sombre tone: "One of the kids we traded for Fleury broke both his legs in a car accident..."

The very notion that Regehr would rehab to play that season is mind-boggling. What a warrior.

Good for ol' Reg...

Great career after his car accident which could have ended it all. Great player, a great Flame.

Somewhere, Hemsky is smiling.

He was pretty good in the last game against the Flames, he could easily keep going.

Great career for a guy who might never have played a game after he broke both legs while a prospect.

I think he deserves the Forever a Flame salute at least.

Iggy & Kipper get their numbers retired.

Jon Rosen @lakingsinsider
Robyn Regehr is likely to retire. Jarret Stoll said the puck he picked up at the end of the game was for him.

Still have a framed poster of Reggie, one of my favourite Flames, the side boards at the Saddledome need to be renamed as the tunnel of death in his honour.

Happy retirement Regehr!

This makes me happy because the Kings defense got even worse.

Somewhere, a boy named Ales just breathed a little easier.

Robyn, enjoy retirement. See you next year for your Forever a Flame ceremony.

I don't know, if Reg qualifies as forever a Flame, what's the criteria. Pretty good one dimensional D man who played here a long time.......... Not sure there's much else to say about him other than I liked him. But not sure that should get you into the FF club. It's meant to be an honour for some pretty special players for the franchise, I don't thin Reg qualifies as that.

Thinking back on it, I can't count the number of times it seems that Hemsky purposefully put himself in the absolute worst of positions while racing to the corner with Regehr. Seems like he had a death wish.

I kept saying how I wished we still had him on Tuesday. Sad to see him retire. Well done, Robyn!

He was not the reason the Kings missed. He played hard.
