ok in competing with kermits first ever job....Ive been thinking about doing a complete change at age 50. Why? Cuz I am bored. I have been in the Electrical Eng biz for almost 30 years and can do my job in my sleep....which I do half the time anyways.
I love being outside....and think any change would have to include at minimum 60% of my time in the great outdoors. Other than that....Im open for ideas.
Toss em out...Im gonna hop over and buy my Corvette right now.... B-)

I was just going to say that.. we have a lady here at work and I swear to god she say at least once a day she can't wait until she is old enough to be a door greeter at wal-mart
she claims they get paid something like $10 an hour.. not much but considering what they do its not too bad i think

hmmm...some good ideas...I think sales is where Im leaning...
Wal-Mart...I dont look good in blue.
Real Estate...I did think about this, but I dont want to house sit on weekends. But it is an option.
Building Inspector...yep I could be bought off
My dad was a sleazy car salesman...so uh...no thanks
not a fisherman...but a Forest Ranger might be fun...dont think the wife would like that though.
I like the pick your own berries...or nuts.
Dont look good enough to hold a sign on the side of a hiway...LOLOL
Writing is another area I might tackle...I like that idea and maybe Mrs Cheese could take the pics for the book.

take a year off, travel the world.
that's what I'd do for a midlife crisis... of course, I'd also do that for just about any reason I could think of
(stupid school making me poor)
buy yourself an acreage, put all your soul into it.

Do try to switch careers at age 50 unless you have already put away enough to retire. Then do whatever you want!

hmmm...Ive travelled lots...and will definately travel more.
Acreages are ok...but not really my cup of tea, nor my wifes. I have a nice home in the city that I am fine in until I retire.....and I wish Becky that I could...but not quite yet.
I will definately change professions though...or styles of profession, even if somewhat associated with what Im doing now.
