Glad to have Shore in the fold again. Really hoping for him to pry a main roster spot out of camp.

He'd be a good Jones replacement.

Jones did just fine where he was playing. He was good in the playoffs and is a veteran on a young team that could move up IF needed. If anyone should be bumped it's Raymond.

Yes, but Jones likely won't be retained past this year. In that case, Shore would be a good replacement for Jones.

Agreed. Also Jones might net us a 2016 2nd rounder if we eat some (~20%)) Salary at the deadline.

I'm gonna miss those occasional power moves of his, but at his age he makes about as much sense to keep as Glencross.

Makes sense. We probably will need to allocate his cap money to someone who is providing more when we are ready to be a contender.

It's rather interesting in the cap world, as a RFA/UFA you want your agent getting you the best deal possible. However, if your agent does too good of a job, you may find yourself being a place holder for a couple seasons before being shuffled around and dumped off when teams take that final step towards being a contender. Only in rare cases does it pay off and you get a chance to be a rental on a cup winner (Gaborik, Vermette).

Aside from Raymond and Jones, we're still having trouble with having roster spots for everyone. I was just saying Shore would be a good replacement for Jones after this year.

I will bet that they want to get as many RFA's out of the way as possible before they get to Ferland and Bouma, both who will be getting pretty good raises...

Love Ferland, but the guy has 25 NHL games under his belt. Shouldn't get much beyond QO

Yet he's worth Bieksa type money.
