Not a bad signing. Frolik is a nice fit for the Flames but I would have been okay with this as well.

I would have given Jones away for free if the Flames would have signed that deal. This is a home run for the Caps.
Too bad.
Still would rather have Frolik.

Yeah, it's almost like GM's saw July 1st as a necessity to building a team, but started to notice that free agent signings were becoming a punchline in the building process, and collectively backed off.

I was definitely hoping for Williams on the flames.
The guy has been pretty underrated through his entire career.

I'd say yes, Williams isn't that high end, flashy scorer. He reminds me of Marty Gelinas. Clutch when it counts. If you were to name 10 players off the kings last year bet you say his name 6-8

Maybe less now that he's won the conn smythe.
He's quietly put up .63 ppg average through over 900 games over his career though, with very little fanfare.
