Default Decorative Window Bars or Windows Guards - Where to Buy?

I am looking for some decorative window bars for the exteriour of our home, for the second story windows. I am only looking for some relatively dainty, small ones, as the intent being to stop inquisitive little ones from taking a terrible tumble.

The issue is that everything I see at Home Depot, etc is made to stop burglars, so they are form-over-function... I just need some relatively eye-pleasing, tiny metal gates in white to stop my kids from falling. I saw these on a house near a friends, was wondering if anyone knew where I could find something similar?

If there is only one window in a room, as is the case with most bedrooms, it is illegal to bar that window. Not that it matters, but...

It's for a large upstair room that serves as their play room; it has 5 windows on it, two of which open, and one of which I want to put similar bars to the photograph so that I can open it for fresh air... Don't like running the central air all the time and drying the house out when a nice summer breeze can do the same.

Just run your furnace on fan mode, fire up a bathroom exhaust fan or 2 and you'll pull a ton of fresh air into your house sans the jail bars.

You could talk to a window company about putting restrictors on the openable portion, so that the windows could open a maximum of 4".

That might be an alternate solution.
