Sabres announce signings
The Buffalo Sabres bungled their way through RFA signings today.
GM Eldrick stated, "CPHL brass is likely to ban us from the league the way our staff bungled these signings, but we are pleased to have some great players under contract for the future".
Headlining the new contracts were all-star defenseman Roman Josi, who received a significant raise, defenseman Keith Yandle and goaltender Tuuka Rask.
GM Eldrick further stated, "The Sabres have far too much money invested in their blueline and will be looking to deal Tobias Enstrom as soon as possible. This team is the poster child for overpaying on contracts."
While Eldrick would not name specific players, he is obviously referring to Jason Pominville @ $9M and Tyler Bozek @ $7M per year. The Sabres are brutally thin at forward and are pushed to the cap.
