Detroit gets Koivu'd

The Senators were finally able to find a team willing to take on Mikko Koivu's awful contract. But the deal has the Sens taking on a bad contract in return. The full trade breakdown:

To Ottawa:
Mark Letestu
Tuomo Ruutu
2015 3rd-67th overall

To Detroit:
Mikko Koivu

Ruutu is only in the deal to help balance the cap but it does free up just a bit of money for the Sens. Easy trade to make, 2 PMs both way and the deal was done. Thanks to Detroit for the easy trade talks.

Might not be a great contract, but Koivu was a scoring machine last season. I think Koivu is a player the Sim likes
