Default PK Subban stops for some road hockey

Pretty cool story. Subban gets a lot of hate but from everything I've seen, he looks like a stand up guy.

'It felt like a prank at first to Aaron Fraser.

“My older son came running over and said, ‘You have to come, P.K. (Subban)’s playing outside.’ I thought it was a joke.”

But when the Montreal resident got out on to the street in front of his house, he almost couldn’t believe his eyes: the Canadiens star was taking shots on his 8-year-old son, Jack.

Wearing flip flops and a brown fedora, Subban stopped his car in the Montreal neighbourhood of Westmount Sunday evening and joined a group of youngsters playing hockey in the street.'

That's awesome.

Not a big PK fan from a player perspective, but good on him for doing good for the fans and showing pride in his community with (supposed to be) unseen stuff like this.

Yea, with everyone having an HD video camera in their pockets this kind of stuff rarely goes unnoticed anymore. Still good to see though.

Yeah I didn't mean it in a negative way. I'd rather see this than another staged charity event. Not that those aren't good, but this spontaneous stuff is much more interesting.

Its all fun and games until a kid gets hit with a slapper between the eyes.

The bad part of this story is that after they stopped recording, Burrows ran up and crosschecked all the kids in the face

I had a similar experience as a kid. Willi Plett stopped and played street hockey with us for a few minutes in Willowpark. We were thrilled.

Kris Versteeg's parents used to live on my street and he would come out and play street hockey with kids all the time while he was home during the off season.

Love PK. Very genuine. Great ambassador for the game. He also has a (is a) great publicist. Makes sure the Habs/NHL know he is worth every million.
