Is Louis C.K. A Sexual Pervert?
I saw this on another forum.
http://defamer.gawker.com/louis-c-k-...d-s-1687820755
I always wonder when an article ends with:
Quote:
Have you been sexually harassed by Louis C.K., or do you know someone who has? Have you heard rumors of the sort? If so, please leave a comment below or contact me at jordan@gawker.com, anonymity guaranteed.

Sounds like how they end every episode of Maury.

Louis is a deviant for sure. Many of the Comedy Cellar guys are. They don't try to hide it. Many of the women are too by the way. I wouldn't want them around my kids for sure but... I think comics will cross the line with each other thinking that they are part of the same fraternity and they can express themselves however they want. They call each other names that we'd consider racist/sexist in the real world but it is par for the course in their world. I hesitate to judge Louis or any of these comics.

Gawker and Gawker media are pretty much everything that is wrong with blogger news sites. I take this with a bag of salt. That being said, if I had to guess, I'd guess Louis is a pervert.

I don't like the term pervert. It brings to mind a morally corrupt person whose sexual escapades are at best disgusting and at worst illegal. Ditto for deviant.
If he's accused of doing illegal #### that's a whole other ballpark.
We all have kinks man. Not everyone is missionary every second Saturday with the lights off.

Yeah, they're really only one notch above crap like Buzzfeed. Actually, even that's a stretch.

Buzzfeed is below Gawker imo. Gawker Media has people lying through their teeth or breaking the law or just doing incredibly morally questionable stuff across almost every arm of what they represent. They are a scary reminder why online news, and reporters of this ilk have a long way to go.

You know who's a pervert? This guy. (Josh Duggar)
I'm more concerned about confirmed sister-molesters than I am about Louis CK rumours.

I don't put a lot of faith in Gawker but have you listened to Louis CK's standup? I think it would be no surprise if there was some sort of deviancy to him.

Well, yeah. If you think that a comedian on stage is actually telling you the truth. The ability to joke about something doesnt precipitate actually believing the same thing in every day life let alone indicate that those jokes/beliefs have been acted upon.
For instance George Carlin had a 'Rape can be funny' skit, it doesnt necessarily mean that he truly believed that.

A lot of comedians are damaged individuals as comedy is their escape from personal depression and despair. Howard Stern interviews plenty of comedians on his show from varying degrees of success most of them all have similar life stories of depression, poor childhood, substance abuse, etc.

Yes, I thought Louis CK supported child molesters as per his last SNL stand up and George Carlin supported rape.
I'm just saying that this obviously comes from somewhere and wouldn't be surprised if there's some underlying issue.

Comics tend to be people with active imaginations, and a need to push boundaries in their routines. There's something sinister about the idea that things entertainers imagine and say to make other people laugh reflect their real behaviour. When I was a teenager, me and my buddies would try to outdo each other in saying the most outrageous, offensive things for a laugh. Way worse than anything I've heard Louis CK say. None of us grew up to be deviants or perverts.
The good thing is people who don't want to listen to boundary-pushing, adult comedy routines don't have to.

Yep. And it was pretty well known for years in the Springdale area (I play hockey there every week). In the various reports over the last 24 hours now:
-he was I believe 12/13 when it started and it went on past 16 not that it really matters. You know that isn't right at that age. Who knows if he has continued.
-he confessed to his parents who took well over a year to report to authorities. Rather they sent him away to a camp for counselling and apologized to victims. It was handled within the church.
-it was his sisters and others
-the law enforcement officer who they took him to to talk to was a State trooper and family friend. That friend gave him a stern talking to but that was about it. That officer is now serving 56 years for child pornography. The cynic in me says Dad Duggar knew exactly who he was bringing his son to so that nothing would ever happen. And it didn't.
Louis CK? No idea. He did do a monologue that fell flat the other day. But most everything I've read on this has a large degree of "taken out of context" stench. Or was straight up consensual. Who knows. I'm sure we'll find out and if it is indeed true I encourage women to speak out and press charges.

Some of the most brilliant have led tragically flawed, shorten lives.

End thread as in every comic who pushes boundries is actually on the same level as Bill Cosby? What are you trying to say here?
