Who Do You Think Will Unexpectedly Make The Team Next Year?
Forget about Monahan, Gaudreau, Bennett. Out of the blue, who would you think would make next years team?
We saw it this year with Josh Jooris.

I don't think they'll be room on the 15-16 roster for anyone to make it out of the blue...unless there are injuries out of camp.

Poirier stands out as the front runner for me due to his position. Would he be a huge shock though? He's performed at every level. Outside of MAYBE a defenseman (Morrison?) I just don't see a starting spot in the lineup for most guys right now.

If they're unexpected, why are we expecting them to make the team?

No reason for the prediction other than the fact that he turned a lot of heads this year, so why not next year too?

Last year there was concern about vets clogging up the roster. Injuries helped and eventually Seto, McGrattan and Glencross left. Who's next to be beaten out for a job?

That's who came to my mind, Treliving was really pumping him up as a guy who could be on next year's roster.
Also: Bill Arnold if we have center injuries and he takes it and runs with it, then maybe we trade Stajan.

Arnold would be a fantastic 4th line C/RW.

It's going to be tough to crack the lineup next season.
Gaudreau, Monahan, Hudler, Bennett, Backlund, Colborne, Ferland, Stajan, Jones, and Bouma are all locks at forward. Then there's Jooris, Raymond, Bollig, Granlund, and more fighting to occupy the last 2 spots.
On defence Giordano, Brodie, Wideman, and Russell are as solid as it gets. Engelland will be tough to push out, and Schlemko is a solid #6.
If anyone's going to unexpectedly make the team, I think it's Gilles.

Trick question. If you think they might make the team, they're not unexpected.
