Expectations for 2015-2016
With this year wrapped up and one hell of a season behind us, what are your expectations for next year?
For me, I'm ecstatic with this season and how everything played out. My expectations next year are to watch the team play with the same passion as this year. I believe that will translate into another playoff berth.

Everyone gets a year older plus a full year of Bennett and Giordano should help.
We won't catch Anaheim but I have a tough time finding a team in the Pacific we're worse than. I say 2nd in the Pacific.

I think the team continues to move forward. Easy for haters to say we fall back to earth and finish 9th-12th in the west but I don't buy it. Players are s year older and I think Treliving adds to this group over the summer.

+/- 2 points in the regular season compared to this one. Stability for the lines and the roles for the players. Bennett taking his place among the top 2 centers before the end of regular season.
I'm also emotionally preparing myself for the inevitable turnover. Odds are some players I really like will be gone. Most likely it's a trade for size up front, with a good chance of a CP ####storm.

The strange thing about next year - all things being equal - is that they could be all over the board. A lot of young guys still improving, but also a lot of guys who will be coming off career years that will be hard to maintain. We could solidify ourselves as a playoff team, or we could be somewhat like the Islanders with a two steps forward, one step back type season.

My expectation is another season in that 90-98 point range, 4th 3rd in the division, behind ANA, DAL, and LA.

I think making the playoffs again is important.
If they don't win a round I wont see it as a step back, but I think missing the playoffs will be a small step back.

Realistically just hope we make the playoffs again, don't see us doing any major damage for a few years. Also would like to see Ramo resigned and Ortio as back up, let's Gillies take over the AHL.

3rd in the Division again, barring some sort of injury catastrophe.

as far as i'm concerned, we enter year 3 of the rebuild. i am very curious to see how management assess this team's success and their approach going into the draft/offseason. How aggressive will they be to improve the roster for 2015/2106 and will we see steps to address percieved gaps in the roster like size, experience, etc.
Should be fun to see it unfold.

Too soon to tell. Let's see what changes happen in the off-season and how the roster looks after training camp.

Whatever they do, DO NOT trade those multiple draft picks for something big, old, slow and expensive.
My worst fear is that Trieliving will be told by the ownership to accelerate the rebuild because of the success this season. Terrible idea if ever there was one.

The beginning of establishing ourselves as a lock for the playoffs every year, even if we end up missing next year.
Continued commitment to the rebuild, with a focus on size, speed, and skill.
An answer to the 3-headed monster goalie conundrum.
A few young players who had mediocre or off years at the NHL level take a solid step forward (Poirier, Wotherspoon).

Be competitive.
Going to be tough in the Western Conference.
Elite:
Ducks
Hawks
Bubble:
Flames
Kings
Blues
Wild
Predators
Stars
Avs
Sharks
Oilers
Canucks
Bottom Feeder:
Coyotes
IMO you are going to only have 1 true bad team in the Western Conference next season and really only two elite teams in the Ducks and Hawks.
Flames will be in a battle with 10 teams for 6 spots, and it will be tough to replicate what we did this year.

I think it's waaay too soon to bump a historically bad team like the Oilers into the bubble.
