Default Team Canada at Worlds

line ups
MacKinnon - Crosby - Spezza
Ennis - Giroux - Seguin
Hall - Duchene - Eberle
Couturier - O'Reilly - Schenn - Eakin - Toffoli

Burns - Muzzin
Ekblad - Barrie
Hamuis - Wiercioch - Savard

We beat Latvia 6-1 and currently leading Germany 9-0 after two periods. We have a pretty stacked team this year and should do well.
All games on TSN.

damn fata

After watching the Sens Habs series I was really impressed with Wiercioch, I imagine he'll be used sparingly at this tournament but he has the potential to be something special.

Paul Romanuk should be doing these games, not the Playoffs.

With those forwards alone Canada should end the drought

Depends on what "special" means to you. He'll probably be a reliable 2nd pairing guy that can approach 35 pts per season. Not "special" in my books but he will be a player.

That being said, this is probably the best group Canada has sent to this tournament in quite some time.

A travesty.

Schultz is too busy practicing his Norris Trophy acceptance speech. The worlds don't mean a thing to him.

I really don't care about this tourney but good lord that lineup is just unfair.

I always wondered what a team like Germany feels like when they play Canada. Would they set realistic goals? Try and work on certain parts of their game?

Or do they game plan to win like a normal game? Seems slightly unfair with the talent that Canada has.

Canada versus the home team Czech Republic starting now. Should be a good game.

Nice to see a reversal of the trend where a lot of the top Canadian players were declining invites to the WHC.

Mentioned already, but what a stacked team this year for the worlds. Pavelec playing pretty decent for the Czech's right now.

Unless the coach is a dumb-dumb, they don't approach it as a regular game. Especially this edition of Canada.

In a weird way, it's probably an honor to go head-to-head against Canada and lose. Just don't be a sore loser about it, and learn from the experience.

Canada down 3-0 come back and beat Sweden 6-4 with an empty netter.

Ekblad named Canada's player of the game.
