Going to game 1 in Anaheim
Just looking up tickets right now, would love to sit beside some fellow Flames fans so if any of you have already purchased tickets let me know where you're sitting!

Flames/Westjet has a weekender trip to Anaheim 4 nights hotel, both games, airfaire and shuttle for $2150 (I am assuming per person). You need to book by 3pm today - it is with Vision Travel Solutions.
If I was not going to Montreal this weekend, might be a cool trip.

Yep, only available tickets in row N are 500 bucks (this guy's on drugs laff) but seats 1-7 and 11-14 are available in row P just above you. Which seats are you in? Still mulling it over with my dad, he's wanting to sit a bit closer to the ice

I'm seats 9 & 10 with my wife.
I was mulling over doing lower bowl since I also want to sit closer, but costs are escalating more than I want. Dropped some dough going to CGY for game 4, and if this series goes the distance, that'll set me back quite a bit LOL.
So I'll settle for row N in the upper bowl.
Either way, the Flames fans will be louder than the theater crowd in OC.

First round's on us! Any driving tips btw Cro? We're coming down from San Fran, figure it'll take about 7 hours with LA traffic, is that accurate?

Was just out there on the weekend (Faith No More concert). Be aware they were doing major construction on Pacific Coast Highway around the Newport Beach area. Also, if you aren't getting a rental car, I highly recommend using Uber. Get some In N' Out Burger too!

Was just about to say the same about Uber! Absolutely loved it when we were in LA.
Don't know too much about what areas work in OC, but uberPool was a really good bang for your buck ($5 fares)

As far as driving tips, it really depends on time of day. Interstate 5 (locally know as simply The Five) is a disaster and a half from 3PM to 6PM in LA proper due to traffic and construction. In Orange County it is free flowing since it's much wider and has HOV lanes in both directions. 7 hours sounds about right if traffic is flowing from San Fran.
If you are driving down on the actual game day, give yourself PLENTY of room for error since traffic can fluctuate greatly.
The five bypasses all the Beach Cities since DenverFlame is right, Newport is also congested nowadays.

I'm going to Anaheim with a buddy for Games 1 and 2. I went to 5 of the 6 games in Round 1 and have a nice 4-1 record. I've been having the time of my life. Feel free to follow my journey here http://instagram.com/rkwlau82/
There's lots of tickets selling for below face value in Anaheim: http://www.tiqiq.com/tickets/anaheim.../2001894651746
I haven't bought tickets yet, but will buy something in the lower bowl in the Flames Attack Zone.
Send me a PM if anyone else is going to the game. Would love to meet-up with fellow CP Flames fans.
Go Flames Go!

I just recently did that drive on my visit to the states. Ended up missing the first period of the kings/sharks game cause traffic there is like a damn parking lot.

I think I'm heading to JT Schmid's before the game to eat and have a couple pops, but I'll confirm later.
Not sure if I'll drive there or take a cab/uber. I would prefer not to drive for obvious reasons.
Truth be told, every time I went to the Honda Center I was just in and out since we lost every GD time, so I'm not sure the vibe of the JT Schmid's place or if it gets busy pre or post game.
I'll update later tongiht.

OK well JT Schmid's is booked up tomorrow, but they said that the patio and lounge are open seating. She advised me to get there by 4 or 4:30.
My wife and I are heading there so hopefully they will be room.
I pissed I accidentally left my big 3x5 Flames flag in Calgary dang nabbit. Really wanted to bring that to the game. I might sub in a Canadian flag instead.
I'll be wearing a retro Monahan.

Don't take the 5 through LA and Orange County. Cut over on the 210 east to the 57 south. It'll drop you right by Honda Center. You'll see the big A at Angels Stadium from the freeway. There will be traffic but it isn't as bad and you avoid the construction zones on the 5.
Parking tip: I've done this many times in the past. There is a train station in the parking lot of Angel Stadium and parking is free. Enter off Katella at the entrance to The Grove and if there a stadium employee at the entrance tell him you're going to the train station. Walk over to Douglass street, by walking under a bridge toward Honda Center and you will find yourself at JT Schmids right across the street from Honda Center. Round one parking got as high as $72.
