hamhuis - how do you not suspend a hit to the head that was done on purpose?
burrows - how can you argue he didn't instigate the fight? he took a penalty then went to russel and threw the first punch

Bieksa was punching Ferland in the face while the play was still going on. Officials either missed it or chose not to put the Canucks in a bad position. Those clowns totally lost control of the game and shouldn't call another game in this series as they are in over their head.
I feel the league will feel pressure to even things up seeing they let off Engelland but the Canucks were considerably dirtier and maybe the league needs to take a stand here to reign in this series or every game will end like this.

I f'n hope so. I want to destroy the Canucks next game. Those guys don't deserve to play in the playoffs.

I have no idea how Bieksa didn't get an instigator when he very blatantly and visibly dropped his gloves and started fighting Ferland while he was tied up.
The officiating in this series has been outright incompetent.

If Hamhuis doesn't get suspended, then the tone is set for the series and nothing is off limits.

Embarrassing performance by the Canucks tonight. Would be surprised if there were any suspensions. Burrows' hit on Gaudreau suspendable as was Bieksa's, especially given that they each have history. Doubt it'll happen though.

Hamhuis and Burrows damned well better. Bieksa, no, I do not think he will. Ferland's just going to have to turn his face into a different shade of hamburger.

Bieksa yes, clearly instigated and that is the rule except I don't want him suspended
Hamhuis probably not because Bennett was reaching down for the puck, but definitely a dangerous hit
But I think they have to fine Willie 10k or so considering they hit Bob with 50k

Let's get real. I'll be surprised if there are any suspensions at all, but if it was me and it was my JOB to protect players, I'd do the following:
Burrows: Rescind a la Engelland to even it up cause that's how we roll at NHL Player Safety. Plus, nothing serious ever seems to happen to Burrows. He was penalized on the play. Enough said.
Bieksa: Nothing to see here.
Hamhuis: 1 game for a dangerous hit to the head. We want to protect our star players because we know what is in our best interests.
