UFA Re-signing

Ok folks,
We are a day early but I had time today to type this up.
You may now re-sign your UFAs.
Please make sure you understand the rules

UFA are re-signed according to grids:

All UFA re-signed deals are 3 years and 1 way.

You MUST have cap space to sign your UFAs, inclusive of any player 23 years or under that must be re-called above the established rating cut off.

Please email cphltrade the following
- Your team name and UFA Contracts in the subject line
- Each player you are signing with the following information:
Their name
Their rating
The corresponding grid amount

TOTAL amount of all contracts offered
TOTAL cap space you have available

List of any players you are NOT re-signing.

Please also post this list in the free agent thread stickied on this board.

Deadline: Next Saturday (July 11) 11:59 PM Calgary time

I don't have to call up my AHLers if I don't plan on calling them up at all next season, right?

Just want to make sure they don't go on waivers if I keep them down

No but if you forget and call them up they would go on waivers

I've been ok in the past - just wanted to make sure the rule was the same as what I understood it to be

Sorry, what is this rule? Do I need to call up any AHL guys who I might put in my starting lineup now before UFA starts?

I have a couple guys who I wasn't sure if I was going to use them on the 4th line or not, was going to make those decisions based on how I did in UFA. Do I need to have anyone I might potentially put in the opening lineup on my roster now?

This is what I found regarding the AHLers and waivers, it was posted in the RFA signings thread:

Re-call waiver cut-off
Per this rule:
Waivers
a. We will adjust our current waiver rules regarding players aged 23 and under and above a set ratings threshold (set each off-season after re-rates). No longer will teams be allowed to move players down to the AHL temporarily. They will be required to have those players, above the set rating threshold, on their roster approximately a week after re-rates are released. Essentially we aren’t going to allow teams to “hide” players in the AHL to create temporary cap space to be used for free agency

You now need to move players about the rating threshold, aged 23 or under, to your CPHL squad.

The ratings cut-offs are:
Goalies: 74
Dmen: 69
Forwards: 65

In those rare cases where a player can play F or D the lower of the two numbers below apply.

So basically if you have a player 23 or under with ratings at or above these ratings - you must recall them to your CPHL squad or they will be subject to re-entry waivers afterwards.

This includes ECHLers you sign.

Okay, I saw that and all my guys are under the threshold so I thought I was okay. I wasn't sure if there was some other rule I missed that if you were going to use someone under the threshold on your CPHL team for most of the season you had to have them on it now.
