Quite ignorant. There are people who probably can't afford to feed themselves let alone go to a sporting event and you want to laugh at them?
Think of the children.

All laughing aside, that actually is pretty bad. My sister lives in Vancouver (still a Flames fan) and she has barely heard a peep from anyone about the series.
In Calgary you got buses with Go Flames Go signs and everyone is town is eagerly anticipating game 1.

Although it might be a touch ignorant to laugh because the reality is there are many who can't afford it, there are a great many more who can.
The concentration of Millionaires in Vancouver is staggering.

Ticket Master only has a handful of seats left... are there other places to buy them as well?

That's really not surprising. Even in their President Cups years you could buy tickets from ticketmaster right up until game time in the first round. They also didn't sell out all of their season tickets and they struggled to sell out many of their games. In 2011-12 people didn't buy for the first round because they were waiting for the later rounds. Now that they've only won one playoff game in the last three years, and that was on the road in 2012, fans are leery about spending money. MLS has become much more popular than it was. I know several STHs that gave up their seats this year because the product became no fun to watch. One of those guys had been a STH for 30 years.
Vancouver's a really expensive city to live in, with housing prices, gas and PST being way above Calgary. Wages are usually higher in Calgary too. There is less disposable income to go around out here, so I don't blame people for not wanting to spend it on a team that has let them down consistently, when they can watch the game at home on their HDTV. With all the sunshine and nice weather we've gotten over the last few months, I'm not sure people even know hockey is still going on.
The Vancouver market isn't a hotbed for ticket prices even at the best of times. There are so many options on where to spend money that the secondary ticket market has never been good (outside of the Olympics).
I'll be at game 1, and possibly game 2, in my Flames jersey. I hope to see the place way more red than it's been over the last few years.

It's not worth comparing to Calgary - this city has had a pretty long wait for playoff hockey. Meanwhile Vancouver has 1 win in their last 9 playoff games. Fans there must be a bit jaded. If they get a lead in the series I expect you'll see plenty of people on the bandwagon.
Anyway I just tried going on ticketmaster and couldn't get it to show me any tickets for sale; says "sorry, no tickets from venue currently". Where are you looking?

I hope this makes them lower prices in the future but know it wont. I don't know if it's just because I didn't grow up in an NHL market where paying $150-$200 for a hockey ticket is normal but paying that much is way too much for me. I ended up getting a $116 ticket which is fine for me for a playoff game.

Seriously though where are they available? I'd consider taking a quick flight out there and back, even last minute, but more likely for game 5.

My friends and I weren't sure which games we could go to before the schedule was announced and we assumed we would just be able to sell them so we bought all of the vancouver home games.
This might get expensive...

GM Place is pretty sweet rink, all the seats have good site lines.
The only thing I hate is those stupid rails in the 2nd bowl.

I'm eyeing up 119 tickets for tomorrow. Wanted to go as a pair... but may have to go solo.

Why does Vancouver have a 100 level, a 300 level and a 500 level, but not the even number ones?
