Flames Recall Poirier, Wolf, Ramage, Kulak
I'll assume Sureloss has posted this while I type this.

According to the AHL site, #Flames have recalled John Ramage, Emile Poirier, David Wolf, and Brett Kulak from Adirondack.

Oh boy, oh boy....Baby Flames still have 6 games left, and one tonight, so I imagine this means they will all play tomorrow.
Assuming Wotherspoon and Bennett will also play, looks like a lot of vets are taking the game off.
EDIT: Aren't we at our limit for post deadline recalls already?

I'm confused too. Is there some type of thing where the playoffs won't be for more than 7 days so you can dump a crap ton of players on IR, emergency recall and the main players be back in time for game 1?

I suppose you can say that a bunch of guys are hurt and need call-ups, but would think skirting the rules this much might be looked down upon.

Maybe some of the regulars will be listed as "day to day?"

Or there's enough guys playing through injuries that would have otherwise kept them out of the line-up if it weren't for the race for the playoffs.
They didn't have to put Ramo on IR to use an emergency call-up, so there must be a way for team docs to justify an emergency call-up.

The Rangers DID do something similar last night against the Sens. Nash, Zuccarello, and Staal never suited up; Vigneault claiming they had minor "injuries".

I'm so confused.
Maybe they're effective as of tomorrow.

This.
I think Treliving is using the "day-to-day" excuse to rest a lot of our regulars and slotting some Adirondack players to get some NHL time. I like it.

I'm so confused too, but more importantly, Brett Kulak!!! From WHL to AHL to ECHL to AHL to NHL within just over a calendar year! So stoked to see this guy!

I think these are considered emergency recalls.
