Number of posts in July and August (50 posts and above is awesome...hence thats where I stopped). Both CP and CPHL

Now the crux of this post. There are 62 days in the two longest months...assuming most of you took two weeks holidays and two long weekends away (3 days each) thats minus 20 days or 42 posting days. I would also assume that this being the dog days of summer posting is somewhat lacklustre and if you were to post every second day you should have a MINIMUM of 21 posts. Some of you have moved...some have taken different jobs...but the gist is you made a promise to maintain a certain level of activity both here and on MSN. I am quite happy overall at the numbers I listed, however some are falling behind or losing interest. If the latter is the case let me know ASAP and we have no issue changing GMs. We HATE firing GMs 2 days until the start of the season...and it happens every year...and we will do it again.
This is not like any other FHL league...we are proudly sponsored by CP and part of our responsibility is to keep their post count up. Most posts I have listed below fall in the CP realm, but come September 1st the proportion should change drastically to CPHL then CP...or both even.
Commissioners are watching online presence as well and those who prefer not to be online at all are being monitored as well....make an effort to get online in the evening and yak it up a bit...those who play prosper...those who dont...well ...you know.
We have a great group here now and I can honestly say this is one of the best, but thats because we stay vigilant. No room here for those who choose to play by their own rules, or those of another league. If you choose to play in multiple leagues...make sure you have adequate time for this one or you may only have the other league to play in.

A post will come very soon for the GMs to check in...it is a MANDATORY check in. Those that dont...will be replaced no questions asked.

Good job guys and gals!

Just want it to be known that about the past 2 weeks I have not been able to post one single message on the CP forums. Its been a real battle to just view some of the messages. But after finally getting into the help/suggestion forum today its all been fixed. I also dont post much on the CP forums although I view them several hundred times a day.

But I have to agree with everything Cheese has said. Several ways to remain active in the league.

Yep, theres more to being active than trading so this is a good way to judge it i guess. Im making a concentrated effort to post more but still dont want to post just for the sake of it. Although maybe i just did here?

I agree with abstract.

I need to make a more concentrated effort of posting, but i hate doing so when i am not adding anything constructive. I read teh board several times a day though.

I've been told that if I don't have anything nice to say to say nothing at all. Apparently, I've only been able to say 20 nice things. Sorry I'll try to find nice things to say more often.
I'll start with: Sample, you look really good for a guy your age.

the easy way to keep post counts up is to simply respond to others posts...we have many GMs here who spend hours creating ads and info about teams.

Thanks for letting us know.

Personally, I'm glad our posting and MSN"ing" does count. Although I don't trade a great deal, I'm glad that other things are also considering

Thanks all!

Personally, I'd like to take this time to announce that this is my 46th post. Only slightly below the 50 posts required to rate as awesome.

My time on MSN has been somewhat reduced for the past two weeks due to a very busy work/family schedule, but nary a day goes by where I don't get at least an hour or so...plus a few hundred visits to this message board.

Looking forward to the start of the season!!!! Still willing to take a really good goalie off your hands too...just cuz I'm a nice guy.

:innocent:

A minor related quibble from me….and by no means do I want this to come across too bitchy. However, I sent off a number of trade emails about 2 weeks ago to 3 GMs who haven’t replied at all (no need to name names). I think even if a trade inquiry as of no interest to a GM it would be great if they could still reply back with a simple “no thanks”. As I said, a minor quibble but a frustrating one.

I find it inexcusable that a GM would either ignore another GMs stab at a trade or not attempt an alternate deal.

This league depends on trades and GM activity...be kind to your fellow GMs and they may help you out later when you need it most.

I would seriously consider canning a GMs arse for not responding to another GMs offer, without good cause.

I do have to say that sometimes there’s quality over quantity and I know that there’s times that I put a good 3 hours putting together a post. It’s not a secret that I like to put the effort to have my players pictured in a Hurricanes Jersey right down to the numbers and all. For me I’ll rather do something like this, and have this as something I contribute to the league then to have a five 3 word replies to other post just so that my numbers don’t look as low.

I have and always we be a person that doesn’t care about post totals, and for me I’ll keep putting in and having fun making my Hurricanes look good by adding fluff to my post because after all that makes this league fun for myself as well, but for hitting 50 post, man that just seems high for me, way outside of my personality.

I just wanted to say that numbers isn’t everything. I’ll rather keeping posting the way I do as I think I’ll be adding more to the league then if I was to just add quick replies to have a nice high number.

I do understand what you're saying and I do agree but I also like to add that it's not always black and white and in the case of the Hurricanes you may get a post thats easy on the eye's but don't add up as fast

This reminds me...

I sent a response to a trade proposal from you but didn't receive one back. Did you receive mine?

I Agree a simple no thanks would go a long way. It is frustrating making offers and not recieving any feedback at all from the other GM.
