86 points wins the ross.

refs need to actually start calling those interference and holding penalties.

Good for him, but he is one of my least favourite players in the league.

#129 overall pick in 2007. God damn, how did he get picked so late?

Lazy junior player?

He's 3rd in points from the 2007 draft class (behind Voracek by a small amount and Patrick Kane by a lot).

87, typo on my part.

Still, your point is valid.

Not sure if it's that as much as the fact that goaltenders are simply too good now and teams are blocking shots all over the ice. The Cinderella runs of the Wild and Senators were both driven by goaltenders that were afterthoughts in the beginning of the season simply not giving up goals. The top ten statistical goaltenders include guys like Dubnyk, Talbot, Holtby, Mason who aren't what I would call big name goaltenders or guys that are ever going to remembered at elite goaltenders but it seems that the level of goaltending is so high right now that guys are coming out of nowhere to be big factors.

Back on topic indeed an impressive season for Benn.

Pretty much when the games stopped to matter.

Good for him though. An Art Ross will come in handy when the next payday comes.

I think he was a late grower.

I always giggle to myself when Benn takes a dive and the refs call it. He's probably the 2nd best LW in the game, an absolute physical beast, yet gets taken down with feather touches from offensive skill guys lol. It's completely absurd. I think it was Raymond who got called on a Benn dive in a recent game, such a joke.

He got the second assist on a meaningless goal with 9 seconds left to play. Before that, Tavares was in position to win.

No hate on Benn, but when HE wins the Art Ross.. something feels off. I wanted more.

I must not watch enough Dallas games because I had no idea people hated him so much.

Is this the lowest number of points an Art Ross winner has scored?
