NHL Coaches select Gaudreau as Rookie of the Year
http://www.tsn.ca/end-of-season-hono...david-1.249213
Amongst other questions... Giordano came in 5th for Norris voting as well.

For the Calder? That's an impressive feat.

Interesting that Josi almost got as many votes as Weber from coaches. Funny that none of them thought the Oilers deserved the McDavid.

I like how no coaches said they wanted Edmonton to get McDavid. Lol.

Coaches hate seeing nice kids having their career potential stunted by Edmonton.

One coach, echoing sentiments of others, said this of Gaudreau: “He’s had the biggest impact on team success. He sets the tone for their identity: resilience, speed, skill.”
“He’s their catalyst,” said another.

I disagree with the Norris. I don't think Karlsson should win. If he wins it even though he had an awful first quarter of the season, then there's no reason Giordano can't win it with an injury.

Let's hope Monahan continues to fly under the radar.
He quietly is having a 30-30-60 season. Hopefully it takes the league a few years to notice like it took them to notice Gio.
I for one would not be sad if Sean didn't get any all-star recognition. Just keep it our little secret, just like Bob used to say.

Has already been quoted above, but nice to see this coming from coaches - the guys who must prepare to play the Flames. Didn't say lucky, or bound to fail, or any of the other things we hear a lot.
He sets the tone for their identity:
resilience
speed
skill
