Default Moneyhands: Countdown to 30 (Needs to score: 1; Games remaining: 9

UteAlready surpassed last year's points, assists and matched his goal output. With 19 games left, can he hit the 30 goal mark?

8 goals seems doable.

EDIT: Just to add, I thik he is underappreciated, even within Flames fans.

Its possible, I think he will need to have at least 2 multi goal games to do it in 19 games though

At the beginning of the season I told a friend that my bold prediction would be Monahan hitting 30 goals and at least 18 assists. So far he's gonna get a bunch more assists and 8 goals in 19 games definitely sounds do-able. It's really cool that the bold prediction might actually come true.

Certainly possible now that he's added 1st period goals to his repertoire.

He'll do it. 8 goals in 19 games? Oh yeah.

Would love to see Monny hit 30 goals and Johnny hit 60 points.

Excited to see him down the stretch with the games really meaning a lot, and with Giordano being out.

Seems like the type of guy who will step up and go on a bit of a streak.

Great thread. I agree Monahan is underrated even among Flames fans. I've heard people mid-season talking about Oh no Mony is slowing down, he ain't producing like he did in his first year... Then I had to yell at them "YOU SCALLYWAGS, HE'S GOT WAY MORE RESPONSIBILITY THIS YEAR, AND HE IS EXCELLING AT THE 200' GAME!!!"

The minute Bob asked him to play more defensive, he does. Bob asks him for more offense, he does. Bob says make the worlds most awkward (yet oddly cute) video with Bouma, he does.

Is there anything he can't do?

Anything over 22 goals is a bonus - no sophomore jinx for Mony. And we forget he is still only a kid at 20 years old. He really was a steal at the No. 6 slot in his draft year.

I daresay. He's got more points that MacKinnon.

Completely agree with everyone else. Kid's a beast and he's only 20. Makes me so excited for the future with him and Sam up the middle.

My drafting philosophy is always going to be BPA but you must choose Character, work-ethic and hockey IQ, size should always be a secondary if not tertiary trait going into who you pick. when you think of Mony, Gaudreau, and Brodie they all seem to have the 3 primary traits listed imo. Plus we get a bonus in Mony due to his personality, i just love all the joke quotes we can make with him & I'm jealous of his hair!

Also curious as to why mack is struggling so much, I haven't seen much of the Av's so wondering whats gone on, but glad we didn't reportedly trade our 3 1st's that draft.

Iggy stole his thunder. Iggy is at 19 goal 42 pts. Not too shabby.

I hope Iggy hits 30 too. I'll always root for him.
