Flames fall 4-2

Worth reposting this from the GT.
It's a shame that there are a few vocal fans who have the opposite mindset as the team they cheer for. The Flames have been the epitome of "never give up" all season, yet there seem to be a few posters here who can't wait to jump off the bandwagon in order to say they knew it all along.

Can't blame Ramo for that one. Defence was terrible tonight. Really missing Gio.

Hopefully that 5-2-1 record is still in reach. This was the loss. Let's do this, boys.

It hurts, but it's not over yet. We need to go on a winning streak about now though.

This team works hard. Even on nights like tonight where we got dominated, the work ethic was still there.
I am not a fan of Joe Colborne.

If Minnesota beats LA tomorrow, suddenly the sky might not be falling quite yet either.
Here's hoping!

Winning streak would be good. For me the slump player was Backlund. Lot's of give aways, dreaming during plays, pushed off the puck with no battle.
Ramo was outstanding for the most part.

This loss is kinda numb to me, I dunno. We still have a chance but after only getting 1 point from Dallas and the near-sweep of the OOT yesterday, I just think most likely we can't make it now. Regardless though, whatever happens - absolutely incredible season. I don't think anyone regrets it.

#### it. Still wouldn't cheer for any other team in the world.

Even if the Flames do miss, this has been the most fun that we have had in a season since 2004. The boys deserve nothing but full marks for even making playoffs a possibility in the last week of March.

Just gonna get ahead of things here. Don't muck up the PGT with stupidity tonight. Keep it on topic and civil.
If you are feeling overwhelmed about a meaningful hockey game on March 27th, might I suggest a nice walk outside on a beautiful Calgary night before you start posting on here.

Backlund is at best a 4th line centre, and we are asking too much from him

As good as they've been all season, the Flames aren't a playoff built team, and when things get chippy and whistles are largely put away, that shows.
Still, a pretty good effort against a damned good team by a bunch of guys who - on paper - have no business being in the conversation at this time of year anyway. Hopefully they rest up for the next one, because that's the level of intensity they can expect to play at for the rest of the year.

Disappointing loss. Glad to see Schlemko rewarded with more ice towards the end of the game as he was the Flames best defenceman tonight. Hopefully he plays with Brodie next game. Mason Raymond is due for a benching, no effort in the corners and blind passes to kill momentum on the PP. Hopefully Shore can draw back into the lineup for the next game, he would be a definite upgrade
