Default Flames Fans....

Fighting for their playoff lives and only 18,600 plus show up last night. Really? Why are fans not showing up for this team? We rag on Oilers fans and Leafs, but they show up through thick and thin...

The dome was packed for a Monday night game against a not so popular visiting team. What would you have preferred for an attendance number?

edit:
According to this site http://espn.go.com/nhl/attendance our home average is 19,081 so we were a couple hundred nose bleed seats short. Big deal.

When every game is televised the incentive to go watch a game live decreases. My beer and food is alot cheaper than what you pay for at the Dome. Also watching the game in HD on a 55' screen gives me a great view of the game.

The irony of a Red Wings fan complaining about regular season attendance is quite rich!

As a Red Wing's fan, you must have missed the green font color?

Also half the city is worried about losing their jobs. Not only that, but it's the half with more disposable income.

Get ready for lighter nights at the dome if the price of Oil keeps going down.

Not a returnee, but an alt. Someone who doesn't want to risk their main account on the backlash generated by posting such obvious troll bait.

One more example of numbers not telling the whole story of a situation. The crowd last night was one of the best of the season, especially for a Monday night game.

I can't remember the last time the crowd reacted to anything other than a goal the way they did to that bad offside call late in the third. Hell, I've seen goals that didn't have that kind of reaction. People jumped out of their seats when the whistle blew. It was insane.

If there were a few empty seats, they were up at the very top because the lower two bowls were pretty much full.
