Just couldn't solve Elliot. We all know there will be questions regarding the goalie pull with 8 minutes left.. Didn't pay off, but personally I thought it was a great coaching strategy.

See you in the playoffs Blues

Holy cripes, can someone please ban Hitchcock from coaching in the NHL. That was one hell of a boring and frustrating game to watch. Thank god the Flames didn't hire him as a coach!

Not really too upset as this was the guaranteed loss on the homestand. The Flames have struggled against the elite teams in the league and are simply no match for the Blues. It's imperative the losing streak doesn't get to 3 games as if they fall more than two points out of a playoff spot it's going to be tough sledding the rest of the way.

Like watching an old cat toying with a kitten. The Blues looked so calm.

Losing 3 zip or 4 zip doesn't matter, so I got nothing against the goalie pull.

It didn't feel like a blowout though. I felt the Flames held their own, but oh well. Blues are a heck of a team, and showed it tonight.

Hard not to be frustrated with that game... They are a well put together team, that's for damn sure. Flames had a few great scrambling chances, but the bounces didn't go in.

Stand up tall and get ready for the Flyers.

Flames should've buried some of those glorious chances in that 2nd period. It might've changed the game in the Flames favour. But other than that, it was just not a good enough game from the Flames.

I would say that this was one game in the last stretch that I was willing to throw in the garbage, Blues are a very good team(They better do something in the playoffs this time), and aren't a very good match-up for the Flames. We really need to put a winning streak together starting vs the Flyers.

The Blues smothered the Flames and didn't allow them to mount any pressure. As good a defensive effort as I have ever seen from an opposition team.

It was only boring, because Flames were absolutely helpless against them. St. Louis played great hockey. Hitchcock is one of the top winning coaches in NHL for a reason.

Feel bad for our d, that must have been a rough night as it seemed like they were continually being hammered into our end boards trying to retrieve a dump in. Gonna be some sore boys tomorrow. Clearly the Blues are the better club, but I appreciate the Flames never backed down physically neither.

Honestly, my thoughts

- Gaudreau, Monahan, and Hudler have chemistry but not one of them is a "sniper" or a physical enough player along the boards. That's why they're not a good 5 vs 5 line. They're fun to watch agailnst bad teams but it's not surprising when better teams completely neutralize them. I'd like to see Gaudreau switched with someone, maybe Colborne. It's something the Blackhawks do with Patrick Kane too, before you attack me on it. You just can't get away with two small wingers and one of the least physical centers in the league.

- I can't wait for Sam Bennett and Emile Poirier and Drew Shore.

- I don't like Mason Raymond going forward.

- I wish Hartley would pair up Brodie and Diaz. I don't like the Brodie / Engelland pairing one bit because they're always pinned in their end and it's lame.

- The Blues played a great game. Give them credit they obviously want to win a championship. Hope they get upset though, screw 'em.

One can only wonder, how the heck were they able to put a team like that under the salary cap? What did Armstrong have that Calgary did not?

Didn't feel like a 4-0 game, but the Blues are just a solid all around team. Thought they would lose this game and they did so not the end of the world, but it sure would be nice to stop this streak against the Flyers. Hope the Flames come out and play with a burr under their saddle, they'll need all the points they can get the rest of the way.

I'll be very surprised if the Blues don't win the Cup.
