Zach Bearson has been offered a bare-bones UFA contract. League minimum, 2 way @ 10%. Can anyone beat it? He's a riamond in the duff.

Eric Messier -- experienced NHLer has also been offered a bare bones contract and I'd like to start the bidding for this guy at 500 gs on a 2 way deal at 10%. A good roster-filler with plenty of NHL experience. Hell even if you pony up an extra 5% in the minors he might be yours. A GM that is both respected and feared has sent in the original offer so you might want to really consider this guy because believe me, you aren't as smart as the guy that sent this in.

In other news, I'll be out of town/away from computer from noon tomorrow (Friday the 5th) until probably monday the 15th so things will slow down to not even a crawl over here at JTIR.

For those desperate to have rosters filled out before the middle of August I suggest you do this... think of the offer you would make to JTIR, add 50% and then add 50% to that. See? It's easy to finalize your roster and make the proper budget if you just do that!

Also, my 17th birthday is on Saturday so everyone please think good thoughts about me while I'm gone. 1 more year until I'm legal to drink!

HI EVERYBODY! I'M HOME!

Yes I'm back. In case you were wondering I'm doing just fine and I'm raring to go on the JTIR front. I've got 28 messages in my inbox and I will be getting to those just as soon as is humanly possible but I'm a little worn out now so it may take a day or two.

Jeers to recent Alberta weather but CHEERS to patient CPHL GMs.

Just for interest's sake though, Scott Nichol is the most popular guy (after JT) in the JTIR universe. To the GM who offered him the league minimum... you have already been outbid by more than 200 grand. Open that purse my friend or the prize peach known as the "City of Champions's Champion" will not be on your team.

As a matter of fact, I urge all CPHL GMs to open their purses and see what might be in there for Mr. Nichol. I promise to "Nichol and Dime" all of you until I get as much as possible for this guy. A wonderful player (OV is 99 I think) who takes a lot of knocks for his lack of bigocity, but he's really a firecracker (he's also bee called a fireplug, a plugger, a flugger, a pepperpot) who can add much needed spark to some of the daintier teams out there. Pony up!

JTIR has not been able to find the time to straighten things out quite yet but he will do it soon.

Scott Nichol has now had offers from 4 teams but the best offer was one of the first -- 700 grand. If you offered less than that you should consider yourself a frontrunner if you offer more than that.
