Default [OOT] - April 7 - The day Edmonton was NOT No Good

Today is the most important day for the Flames in years. Let's keep it in context, and enjoy the thrill.

18:00 MST - Winnipeg @ St. Louis
18:30 MST - Minnesota @ Chicago
19:00 MST - Arizona @ Calgary
19:30 MST - LA @ Edmonton

GFG!

If Edmonton wins, I won't make fun of them on the internet for the rest of the 2014-15 season (including playoffs).

If there's anything that could put current Oilers management in the line of fire, it is a rebuilding Calgary Flames team making the postseason.

Oilers management will not allow a competitive effort tonight. They can not afford to risk fluking out a win, the Flames making the playoffs, and LoweTavish getting kicked out of office.

I predict a 7-1 LA win.

I hope the Oilers goalposts have the game of their lives!

Oilers starting Bachman tonight too... It's like they're trying to give the Kings 2 points

Who is the thread title trying to fool.

We all know this is "The day that Winnipeg and L.A. inevitably win because they cannot lose".

I posted this in the Wild Card thread earlier:

Richard Bachman is starting for the Oilers tonight:

Bachman has only allowed one goal to a player on the 2014-15 LA Kings roster: Mike Richards

He's the only Oilers goalie with a save percentage over .900 this season.

I'm trying to stay positive. Come on Edmonton, just suck less for one night

If LA scores early it is done. As much as we can hope for an Oilers win but after watching them get smoked by the Flames at home after being embarrassed 8-2 just further proves that team has no heart.

Go Blues and Go Hawks

Seriously sometimes these lesser known goalies can come out of nowhere to steal games, and there's less of a book on them. I like it.

Yeah, sorry.

Edmonton has no incentive to want to win and every reason to mail it in. They don't care if L.A. gets in, they want to fall in the standings, and of course they want to be spoiler to the Flames. The Oilers don't even play for pride any more. Might as well put those 2 points in the win column for L.A. right now.

I just hope that it is so obvious tonight that the league actually fines them or at the very least, everyone will see them as garbage.

Ugh. I'll never cheer for those no good losers even if it helps us.

Theres no point. They're absolute garbage. They're about to let their last goalie get absolutely shelled.
