At least he can make a comeback and I'm happy for him.

Ummm... Bit rash by Chicago. Too early to tell if Timonen can still play. Panic because they missed out on Sekera?

That was the 2nd round pick I was hoping coming back in the glencross trade.

They still have a 1st though, right?

Fair deal for both sides considering the Jagr deal. Timonen has a higher chance of making a larger difference in the playoffs. Fair deal.

He's a good addition if he can come back and get up to speed in time for the playoffs.

Glencross should be worth a 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder then.

Chi can still be in on Glencross too. Good addition for CHI. Timmonen even at his age is still good for a deep playoff run.

Is the K. Hayes 2nd round compensatory pick tradeable?

Any move that takes minutes away from Rozival or Rundblad, is a good move...this is a low risk transaction...

Good move for the Hawks if Timonen rebounds.

I am liking that there are more and more trades these days. It leaves fewer and fewer options on the table for teams looking to make moves if the Flames decide to trade more than just Glencross.

Perhaps even a 1st with Calgary adding a 3rd or 4th.. or B prospect.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Conditions on 2016 pick CHI gave to PHI: 1. If CHI wins two rounds and Timonen plays in 50 per cent or more of games, it's 2016 3rd rounder.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
If CHI wins three rounds and Timonen plays in 50 per cent or more of games, it is a 2nd rounder in 2016.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
If those conditions aren't met by CHI and Timonen, then PHI gets CHI's 4th round pick in 2016.

I am not aware of any rules that prevents it.

I like Timonen a lot, but 2 picks are a lot for a guy that hasn't played a game yet this year.
