Flames Prospects in CHL Playoffs
I thought it might be a good idea to have a separate thread to follow our kids in the CHL playoffs.
It seems that this year we have a lot of players that could have a major impact on their teams' results.
I might be missing someone but I can think of the following:
WHL
Austin Carroll, Victoria Royals
Morgan Klimchuk and Eric Roy, Brandon Wheat Kings
Kennan Kanzig, Calgary Hitmen
OHL
Sam Bennett, Kingston Frontenacs
Hunter Smith, Oshawa Generals
QMJHL
Mason MacDonald, Charlottetown Islanders
Any input would be great - schedules and/or results and especially insight from those people that watch or attend games.

I was at the final regular season Charlottetown Islanders game and Mason McDonald didn't play due to an 'upper body' injury. His absence was very noticeable as it took the Islanders over 50 shots to get 6 goals and St. John only needed about 30 to get 5 against backup McCallum.

Might be better to have this in the Back Burner Forum as we have a CHL thread as well as the stats thread that would cover this as well.

I like it here as I often forget to check the back burner.

Well all of the minor leagues are in the Back Burner...its pretty easy to simply move down one category to check what is happening there?

Completely forgot about Eric Roy, is he still even considered a prospect?

Maybe the back burner is the best spot. Could get lost in the shuffle here.

I would say yes, he was co-MVP of his team, but I keep hearing bust. Any thoughts on this?

Anyone know if he improved his defensive game this season? That was always the knock against him. His size and offensive abilities should be good enough in my view to give him an entry deal.

Scoring Winger

Well he went from being a pretty big - player to being +30 this season while putting up the same amount of points. Haven't actually watched him though.
