Spin4Kids- Charity Event- And Silent Auction

Id like to thank Photon (damn auto correcting grr) for letting me post this here.

Please take a few min to read the below for the Spin4kids event being held by GoodLife Fitness.
So far for this event we have had TicketMaster donate 4 tickets to the Flames vs Avs game in March, a $250 hair package, Calgary Stampeders game package...etc.
We are going into the last week before this event, anything helps.

Let’s get kids off the couch!
At GoodLife Kids Foundation, our purpose is for every Canadian kid to have the opportunity to live a fit and healthy good life. We provide funding to ensure physical activity programs across Canada are reaching kids and getting them off the couch and into their running shoes.
Recent studies show that only 5 percent of Canadian kids aged 5 to 17 get the recommended 60 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous physical activity. This means that 95 percent of kids are not being impacted by all the wonderful benefits of an active life. A lack of regular physical activity negatively effects children’s health, their self-esteem, and Canada’s health care system.

That’s where GoodLife Kids Foundation comes in!
GoodLife Kids Foundation (GLKF) raises funds to support national, provincial and local programs that provide ongoing physical activity opportunities for kids and remove some of the barriers currently holding children back from living a healthy life.

Funds raised through Spin4Kids Plus make it possible to run group activities like after school sports and in-school initiatives to boost activity levels and programs that encourage healthy activities for kids. Since 2009, GLKF has helped over 212,000 children across Canada get active and has allocated $1.5 million through the Grant Program.

GoodLife McKenzie Towne has 2 teams of 8 participating this year. What does that mean? It means our club is raising money for the GoodLife Kids Foundation and then meeting up with other teams across Calgary for 8 full hours of Spinning FUN on March 7th 2015. Help us give every child the opportunity to live a fit and healthy Good Life!

How to Support...

We are holding a Silent Auction, Raffle with Door prizes, Games and more on FEB 24th from $pm to 7PM


You have three amazing support packages to choose from and each package is loaded with incentive. The Mckenzie Towne Center GoodLife Fitness has 6500 current members and last January we had 24,000check-ins. That means huge exposure for your company at a minimal expense.

Platinum Donor – Minimum $250 donation
·8x10 sized print of your company name and/ or logo displayed at GoodLife Fitness McKenzie Towne from February 1st – March 31st
·Your Company name and/or logo displayed in our donor newsletter which will be printed and in circulation within GoodLife Fitness McKenzie Towne from February 1st - March 31st
·Framed 8x10 “donor thank you” to display at your establishment
·Income Tax Receipt

Gold Donor – Minimum $100 donation
·4x5 sized print of your company name and/ or logo displayed at GoodLife Fitness McKenzie Towne from February 1st - March 31st
·Income Tax Receipt

Silver Donor – Minimum $50 retail value of product or service
·Your company name listed on a 16x20 print located beside the Product for Silent Auction and will be on display from February 1st - March 31st

How to Donate…

Cash – can be accepted by a Spin4Kids team representative
Cheques – can be made out to the GoodLife Kids Foundation and can be accepted by a Spin4Kids team representative
Online – Credit cards can be used online at Spin4Kids.com
Donate -> Sponsor a team -> team name: Purple Elephants who need protein

Income Tax Receipting

Income tax receipts may only be issued by GoodLife Kids Foundation
This will occur after your event, for cash and cheque donations, once the funds and necessary information are received by GLKF. Please allow 6-8 weeks from your fund submission for income tax receipts to be issued for eligible cash and cheque donations.
NOTE: For those using the online donation method an income tax receipt will automatically be issued to the donor via email.
What We Can Receipt
Cash donations of $20.00 or more – complete name and mailing address of the donor are required in order to receipt
What We Cannot Receipt
· Donations of prizes, auction items, services, food, beverages

PLEASE REMEMBER…
· Debit MAY NOT be accepted for GoodLife Kids Foundation donations
· Do not send cash in the courier or mail to GoodLife Kids Foundation at Home Office.

It really is, our goal here is to raise $5,000 by month end, so far we are at $1080.
