Default Solar Christmas Lights

I am looking to add a bank of solar Christmas lights this year and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or advise on what to do.
Thanks in advance

Had them up last year and 1/2 the time they wouldn't light up or just for a few hours.

Make sure those panels have full view of the sun throughout the day.

Why? A string LEDs uses something like 3.4 Watts.

I suppose you don't need to run a cord but it seems like more hassle then it's worth

Default I have ordered new lights

I ordered some lights from amazon.
Two separate strings, let see how long they last.
no fuss no power from home. no exterior cords.
no timer. lets see what happens in cold weather.
Can I expand the battery so they can last a couple of days if no sun?
