The Jackets continued to tweak their roster on Sunday only hours after the Ryan Suter trade was announced to fans.

Eric Staal has been acquired by the Jackets in a big trade with the Lightning.

The Jackets were looking for a solid C that can play on the 2nd line behind Getzlaf. He has struggled in the CPHL this season but we think we limited icetime playing behind Getzlaf will be a good fit. Raymond has be n playing excellent in the sim and will continue to play with Staal on the 2nd line. Lovejoy has also been excellent in the sim so we hope he can keep it up.

You're welcome Eric Staal for getting you out of that hell hole in TB. You are a winner now.
