My first guess would be a place like Rona. But I'm sure you could get something cut to size at Hammersmith or Reggin.

It's probably worth giving Benner Plumbing and Heating a call. They carry all kinds of stuff no one else has.

Home Depot has them. The vent ones come in a shiny or flat look stainless steel, and two types of quality. The non rust ones are very nice, in a couple of different designs and sizes.

Absolutely. I got mine at Shaunessey. I got the rust proof ones, around $16 each.

Multiwood will make you custom wood ones. Mdf, maple, oak... mdf is by far the cheapest.

You need to make up your own forum of flames gimp's reno needs!
Although stainless steel would be cool, it will only be cool if its your place. I wouldn't think that would be high on somebody's list for a buying feature

Not sure which HD you're going to, but the one on Macleod Trail across from Chinook Centre has terrible selection. It's so tiny, they can't carry everything.

Yes, those other ones do get broken and bent and run over. I thought I wanted stainless steel too, we have an ongoing renovation here and I have all new stainless steel appliances. BUT the color that worked out the best is a new one, rubbed bronze, and the style I chose was Oriental, it has quite a traditional or contemporary look. I had brought the stainless steel ones by the same brand name home, and they did match the appliances very well, but for my floor tile, the rubbed bronze worked best to tie together the stainless steel appliances and the tile. You can get scroll pattern, something else, I think 3 patterns, in the 3" x 10", 4" x 10" and I believe 2" x 12".
