knew this was coming obviously, his health had deteriorated considerably over the last few years. As a Motörhead fan, this is still a big shock though. R.I.P. Lemmy, a true legend

I heard an interview with him a few months ago and he sounded awful, so this isn't surprising, but it's still awful news. He was such a huge part of the metal scene. One of a kind, for sure.

Well ####, that really sucks. One of the biggest icons of rock, so glad I got to see him live when Motorhead and Clutch were on tour. I don't think I've been this bummed about a musician passing since Dimebag Darrel

Sad news. It sounds like he just learned he had cancer on 26 Dec. Gotta play some No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith tonight in his honor.

Lemmy rocked harder as a senior citizen than most of today's bands in their 20's

Lemmy couldn't be peaceful in life, he won't be in Valhalla. Better go raise a drink or twelve for the man.
Truly, we are all mortal.

Gobsmacked. I thought (hoped) he'd never die.

Well this sucks. He was fighting a lot of health issues the last few years, so it's not really a surprise, but it still burns.
Really glad I made a point of hitting up a show back in 2012 (Gigantour w/Megadeth) as I knew he wouldn't be around a lot longer.

Today I learned that the only Motorhead album I own on vinyl is Ace of Spades.
I'm gonna need to fix that.

Great quote from a rolling stone writer. "There are people that play Rock and Roll, there are people that ARE Rock and Roll. RIP Lemmy"
Another rock icon has been lost. They don't make em like Lemmy anymore. Now he'd be run off because of his gigantor mole, and ratty appearance. Dude just didn't GAF what anyone thought of him. And that's what made Lemmy so frikking awesome.
RIP Lemmy.
