This is a blessing in disguise. Colorado is nipping at our heels for a playoff spot, and we can use a downgrade in Avalanche defense.

O'Reilly (proper capitalization and punctuation should not be hard) is not going to go for Stajan and Wideman, so please keep the "their gold for our crap" proposals in the trade ideas thread.
Also, we don't need O'Reilly, so trading from a spot of weakness (defence) into an area of strength (centre) is not going to move the organization forward.

i don't mind wideman - i like oreilly much more - and long term i think the organization would be better off. maybe i'm wrong. maybe you are. my guess is we'll never know in any case. just firing something out there - is that ok?
