Default Check on here if you remember Calgary's MIX 1060!

The alternative music station on Calgary's AM station Mix 1060.
Man I was always listening to this station when I was in my teens (31 now)
I still remember Some of the DJ's
2 dicks on the mix
Cosmo
Something sky? (The chick)
Station kicked ass.
Oh and I also won tickets to mix fest at the Saddledome 2 years in a row, only bands I remember that performed were;
Rhymes with orange
Headstones
Junkhouse
I think I may have the ticket stub to one of the shows, if I do I'll post it.
This was the first concert I went to and I was so pumped
Any other Calgarians remember Mix 1060?

No kidding eh?

Sadler was on the air in Lethbridge when i was taking journalism down there a hundred years ago....had many a crazy night together. Good guy and i will always remember him saying one time how all he wanted was fame...didnt care about money just wanted the "perks" of being famous...lol....and in all honesty it worked a lot!! We were quite young mind you.

How about the oldies that use to be on 660AM? Before it became 660 news.

AM106 and their hot air balloon!

Too bad that by '99 there was really no music (not country) on the AM dial. When I was flying our one piece of navigational equipment used AM frequency, so you could dial up a station and listen over the intercom. I quite liked tuning in 660 on Sunday mornings and they had the Beetle's brunch. Always nice to listen to the game though.

And then they went oldies/big band and dumped most of their listener base onto CJay, which modified its format from almost straight classic rock format to include modern in consistently increasing doses over time.
