Adirondack is going to be a powerhouse with their number 1 centreman back. Hopefully Calgary will be too.

It will be good for Granlund to be given top 6 minutes in Adirondack, bonus of how well they've been playing as well.

That only leaves Bennett on IR, yes? The Flames haven't been this healthy in a very long time. Great to see!!!

Knight's already in Adirondack.
There's also a chance they send down Potter as he's not playing and I think Smid is close to return as well. Could see Potter first and then perhaps a tough decision about McGrattan.

So Granlund will be slotted into the 2C position? I don't see how Knight is the better 1C option if he's older and farther down the depth chart than Granlund. I understand you watch plenty of Addy which is why I ask.

Actually Arnold is playing between Sven and Emile, on what is arguably the top line. Addy looks pretty strong at the moment.

I would think so yes. He will probably be put with I'd guess Reinhart (huge chemistry) and probably Hanowski on the 2nd line.
For face-offs, Knight IS the centreman in Adirondack. He's come back from injury on absolute fire. He's also a face-off machine, every situation you can imagine he's put in. Huska trusts him in every situation and him losing a face-off is rare.
I think if Granlund goes down, he would be the 2C behind Knight right now because Knight is just playing that well. So is Arnold actually, it could be a good competition for Granlund because we have both Knight and Arnold having a good stretch here.

great to see for Backlund. I look forward to seeing the Flames in a couple weeks once Backlund is up to speed.
As for GFs...
Baertschi - Granlund - Poirier would be sweet. Or maybe they put Granlund with Reinhart to see if it rekindles their chemistry from last year and creates another threatening line. Either way:
Granlund
Knight
Arnold
down the middle - should be fun!
Edit: what Drury said

Wouldn't expect him to be good and up to speed for a little while here, he looked skinny and his injury wasn't conducive for being able to stay fit and healthy. Probably wasn't able to do much in the gym at all. Regardless, nice to see Backlund in the line up, his enthusiasm is always welcome.

If we invented cloning, it's inexcusable to not have 4 lines of Gaudreau's...
