Bank robbery in mission
So I noticed 3 squad cars tear up fifth Ave sw on my walk home from work tonight, so I thought to google. Guess there was a pretty big incident in mission just after 5pm

Holy crap, I live 4 blocks away.
I had to withdraw $250 to go pickup some cash for a buy off kijiji..
So at about 4:45, 4th street was pretty busy so I skipped the RBC on 4th and went to the one at Richmond and 37th instead.
Yay rush hour!

Area is (was?) evacuated, sounds like a full on armed robbery attempt. And I think the cops have at least one in custody.

Do you always talk like a drug/arms dealer or just in bank robbery threads. Also don't you hate how you can never get 250...always 260 and then you need change and it's all awkward...

Wow, you're a clown.
I intended to not distract the conversation, as well as keep a semblance of privacy by not distracting nor providing intimate detail, but now that someone so shallow is calling me on it, I bought two Total One Hockey sticks off kijiji.
You insinuating, I didn't withdraw $250 also?
Actual ATM's at branch's dispense $20 & $50 bills. You sure are a piece of work.
https://maps.rbcroyalbank.com/index.php --> Choose ATM, that dispenses $50, and search your region.

Anyway, to add to the conversation, I was mistaken thinking it was the RBC on 4th street. It was in fact the BMO.

Such a turd! Think he was joking though? Yeah I find if I draw $300 I'll get some fifties from an atm. Otherwise not so much

I'm sorry that not one, but both my attempts at humor went so far over your head that the seem to have caused confused anger. The image of your bank account and the details of the purchased hockey sticks is enough proof to me that you are a) not a drug or arms dealer b) were actually able to withdraw exactly $250 which would seem to make the awkward "change" moment i implied a non-issue for you.
my deepest apologies. Next time i will PM you the joke for testing before posting it, as to not upset you or derail the thread.
and no need to come out so aggressive with the "wow, you're a clown comment" - one of us lacked the reading comprehension, and it wasn't me. Unless...that was also a failed joke by you, in which case i fear we may be entering an infinite loop.

I also see I can't read good. As both are sold for $250.

My first thought as well
The ad says buy both for 250!

That transaction screenshot looks photoshopped. If you look at the $250, it looks really pixated.

Thanked for "Awkward change moment"
I bought some stuff for $150 recently, gave the guy $160, moved all the stuff out to the car... then stood around... "Soooo..... do you have a $10?"
"Oh... right"... he fishes through his overall pocket for change, but the pocket is too deep to get his hand in. Finally he fumbles out $6. I was going to tell him that was good, but then he went searching through the house for another 4 loonies.
Stupid awkward change amounts!

Holy crap! Did someone just post a screenshot of their bank statement because he took offense to the fact that someone made a joke about ATMs only giving out $20s?
