Well, we've been waiting for this for a long time. I presume the Flames were waiting to see if Eakins became available before committing long-term to Hartley.

Good call. He's the right coach for this rebuilding team. Good motivator, has got them playing sound hockey (despite the hiccups this past 10 days or so), didn't try and teach them a swarm defense method.
