Sources say Dallas Eakins has been fired at head coach of the Oilers. Details to follow.

Eakins has the remainder of this season, plus two more remaining on contracts. Sounds like MacTavish may return to bench on interim basis.
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Todd Nelson will join Oilers as asst or associate coach. Fleming likely to take over in OKC.

Well I guess the kid in the school yard was right, Eakins does suck.
Never a good thing when someone loses their job but Oilers keep it extra classy by doing it right before the holidays.
