Default Sabres "snow" games now rescheduled.

The massive lake effect snowstorm around the Buffalo area has postponed Friday's hockey game. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=740164&navid=nhl:topheads

That storm will have dumped 2.5 metres of snow in some areas. It is unreal what is happening there. The NFL's Jets at Bills game on Sunday has also been postponed and it has even been reported that the Bills stadium might not even be ready for the next Sunday on November 30. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/535505844612661248

Sounds like they're moving the Bills game on Sunday out of Ralph Wilson stadium to somewhere more accessible. No surprise considering the state that city and surrounding area is in right now. No sense in giving incentive to people to try and drive.

There are reports that the game will be played in Detroit or Washington DC, probably on Monday night and possibly Tuesday night.

Some areas of Buffalo got hit with 8 feet of snow. Some of the pictures are ridiculous. This postponement is not a surprise.

A New York snow storm is nothing to scoff at. I was in NYC a few years ago with a bunch of fellow Canadians and it must have dropped 3 feet overnight. We couldn't believe it. I think I've seen something like that in Calgary maybe twice in my short life. We don't get the big dumps of snow, just the freezing cold. The worst part is that they get heavy, wet, gross snow. I'll take a few days of blistering cold, thanks.

Especially those poor #######s in Buffalo - they call it "lake effect" snow and results in these massive dumps.

They should just move the game to Wembley or Toronto. Or just permanently move the team there already....

That's just like Americans, all they got was 7' of snow and the whole city has to shut down.

Those pictures are extremely humbling .. Lol @ the guy "still no plow", because I'm sure so and so's dad who drives grater is trained to handle this situation. I mean.. Where does it all even go? Damn.

I remember as a kid, 4-5 years old we rented a trailer out in the country and had a crazy storm one year that drifted up on the back side of our trailer all the way to the roof. So many (unapproved and uninspected) forts and tunnels.

Kinda crazy my generation is still alive the way we would do stupid stuff (including but limited to, forts and tunnels in the massive piles of snow from around the school hard before teachers shut that fun down too)

No chance that picture is from Buffalo. I would guess that has to be from Austria.
