There were supposed to be just two games scheduled for Monday but, the massive snowstorm in Buffalo last month changed some of the Sabres home dates. The Sentors at Sabres game was originally scheduled to be played in February and will now be played today. The postponed Rangers at Sabres game will be played in February.

It is an early OOT as all three games are in the eastern timezone.

This is a terrific match up for a Monday night. The two offensively skilled teams are in first and second place in the eastern conference. These conference rivals will play each other three times in 18 days. Enjoy!

After one period

It is 1-1 Lightning-Penguins. Sutter opened the scoring with a short handed goal and then 24 seconds later, Drouin scores on the power play for Tampa Bay. Both goals were in the last minute of the period. Fleury has kept the score low as the Lightning had twelve shots to the Penguins five shots. Bishop might be injured as Nabokov is in net now to start the second period.

The Devils lead 2-0 and the Senators 1-0.

This has been a fun win streak! It's been a while since I felt good about this team.
