Default December 10, just two games.

It is a typical quiet Wednesday on OOT with a pair of games. The first game is an Original Six classic and the second game is nothing special.

It is Wednesday night rivalry with these forever rivals
from this past year's Winter Classic!

in the USA will have Mike Emrick, Eddie Olczyk, and Pierre McGuire calling the game.

in Canada will have Jim Hughson, Mike Johnson, and Cassie Campbell-Pascall calling the game.

The first time these teams meet this season and the game has
the potential to be a comedy hour sideshow in the first period.
It is the beginning of a home-away series with the second game
on Friday evening.

Wings putting on a skill clinic. Fun to watch now that they're in the east lol. Haven't capitalized yet though. Reimer!

It is still scoreless in the second period between the stinkin' Leafs and the Red Wings. Detroit is outplaying the Leafs in the second period, but, James Reimer is playing well in net, his first start in over three weeks.

Heads up for the Oilers-Ducks game, it will begin on Sportsnet Oilers. The West channel join the game after the national game is finished.

Nyquist scored late in the second period to have Detroit lead 1-0. Kessel ties it in the third period, 1-1 now.

Stay tuned...

come on wings. i prefer the rollercoaster ride that is the leafs media. they win a few games and all they can talk about is how great everything is, they lose a few and the need to get rid of kessel/phaneuf/everyone, they need to fire the coach as only babcock can fix this, etc.

Santorelli wins it in the shootout! 2-1 Leafs. Reimer with a stellar 42 saves.

Two of my favourite things have happened in the first 3 minutes of the second in Anaheim...

Play-by-play guy says "they won't use this as an excuse...", then proceeds to give his team an excuse for losing (Oilers played last night, but the Ducks haven't played since Sunday).

Delayed penalty call and the goalie starts to leave the net...but it's his team getting penalized (it didn't hurt the Ducks because they had possession and got a quick whistle anyway).

Also, fans in Anaheim booing Schultz every time he touches the puck. They may not have the biggest fan base, but at least they hold a grudge well.

Oilers play by play guy talks about how Eakins said the Oilrs could be a fiece forechecking team if they got the puck in deep and checked hard (ya, thats what forechecking is I guess) as he said that the Oilers failed to forecheck and the Ducks popped in their 2nd

Oilers oilin' it up

Can you imagine "Schultzy" touching the puck and everyone bursts into laughter until the puck leaves him? That would f*** up a player more than he already is. Would be hysterical.
