Jooris told to get a permanent residence
Roger Millions @RogMillions
No surprise hearing that Josh Jooris has been told to find a permanent residence in Calgary. He's been great.

They probably won't strip Setoguchi of his number (unfortunately).
Assuming 12, 14 , and 34 are off limits unofficially, that leaves 28 and 35.
Honestly, let him keep 86!

What a turnaround for him. Develops into an impact NHL player at age 24, after being almost completely earmarked for a nice AHL career.

Has Gaudreau roomed with anyone yet? If not, maybe he and Josh could.

What numbers are left?
Nobody is gonna wear 2, 9, 12, 14, 30 or 34. And 22 (Setoguchi) and 26 (Wotherspoon) are taken.
#3 is the only lower number I can think of that isn't either taken or a number that nobody will wear..

Also, are there any rules regarding telling a player to get a permanent place to live? If they do this, are they allowed to demote him at any point? Or do they have to keep him around for a certain amount of time?

I know Jooris would prefer a number with 7 in it.

I feel like the Flames should just buy a big house and get all the young guys to live together. Make it fun, like a summer camp.

This is really awesome but he's taken over Backlund's spot on the team, I wonder if he'll just move into Backlund's house and take over his whole life!
Centre depth is an amazing thing to have!

7, 17, and 27 are taken and Burke's maximum was 35 wasn't it?

if Burke's stupid numbers rule is to apply, then 28 is about the only possibility. Unless they take 22 away from Seto, and I doubt they will.

They can send him down at any point, but if they do send him down they have to pay for his lodging in Adirondack.

Definitely well deserved. Still amazed at how he seemingly came out of nowhere (not that I'm complaining though...)
