Top Alberta Baby Names 2014
The 2014 list is out.
Quote:
New baby boys are being named Tyrion from Game of Thrones, Aaragon from Lord of the Rings and Olivander from the Harry Potter.
As for baby girls, parents are naming their new daughters Primm from The Hunger Games, Sookie from True Blood, Cosette from Les Miserables, Wednesday from The Addams Family and Khaleesi from Game of Thrones.
Baby boy names that may have made some double take include: Thunderboy, Goodness, Huckleberry and Innocent. For girls: Valkyrie, Meadow, Melon, Disney and Bandit.

Those top 10 names are honestly quite reassuring. The past 10 years or so have been a trainwreck. My niece has friends named Braxton and Blaze. Like... Wtf.

I would not be comfortable naming my kid after a Game of Thrones character until he or she is killed off. With the way that show unfolds, the character you named your kid after would probably rape someone.
