Information:
The rocket was an
Antares rocket, made by Orbital Sciences.
The spacecraft was a
Cygnus spacecraft, made by Orbital Sciences.
The mission,
Cygnus CRS Orb-3 , was a resupply mission to the ISS.
The mission was also to deliver a
Planetary Resources Arkyd 3 cubesat to the ISS for future launch from the ISS itself.
All of the hardware was Orbital Sciences. NASA was running the mission.
The launch site was the
Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at
NASA Wallops Flight Facility .

Not to derail this thread too much but my wife and I had some good debate about it. Despite things like the gamma ray burst I just can't believe that in the vastness of our galaxy alone some form of intelligent life hasn't been able to survive and be older than us.
