I know name changes generally aren't allowed, but I was wondering if I could/should switch to "Kipper was King," given that Kipper's now retired. A name change like that would not be confusing.
If you have an opinion, tell me. Is this a stupid idea? I just think it makes sense.

If we are granting name changes, can I get this atrocity removed please? Chris Drury? I'd love to know what I was on back then when I decided that was a good name.
Our rule on names changes (it is probably written around here somewhere) is that we don't grant them unless there is a good reason e.g. someone doesn't want to use a real name anymore. But user titles are always available for change!

What about granting name changes, but setting the user title as "formerly name"?

I chose Dion in reference to Dion Phaneuf. I was clearly drunk at the time I had no idea what I was doing. Now I feel like a doche bag for picking that name.

I'm pretty sure I drunkenly picked my name the night Khabibulin flubbed the puck and David Moss scored that game winner with about 45 seconds left against the Oilers. Still one of my favorite Flames memories of the last several years, but wish I could change my username.

You see he originally wanted his username changed to Kipper was King instead of Kipper is King, being that he is retired, then made a word play about it being proper past tense (past tents, get it). What the mods have fiendishly done is changed his title and not his username to Pants Tent, this is a clever euphemism for an erection.
